What is the difference between a Transfer and an Assignment?
A transfer of a licence is the transfer of ownership of the licence from one party to another. An assignment of a licence involves one party leasing a licence including taking on all rights and responsibilities of the licence but not ownership of the licence. This is usually done for a defined period of time and involves a monthly assignment (lease) fee to be paid by the assignee to the assignor.
